Angels and Demons

Angels and Demons

I picked this one up after reading The DaVinci Code by the same author. Again, I was so intrigued that I couldn’t put this one down the moment I started reading it.

If The DaVinci Code is an attack on Christ, then this book is an attack on the Pope. Now before you faithful fanatics out there start picketing or strapping bombs to yourselves (or was that the other faith?), know that this is a story book, a work of fiction of some over imaginative author albeit a pretty good one.

It tells of how even the Pope can be so deluded by his faith that he commits atrocities in the name of defending his faith.

If you love DaVinci Code, you’ll love this one. I highly recommend it.

XMas Already?!?!

December 1st, 2006 | 2 Comments | Posted in @Home

Got an invite to a XMas party yesterday. And I just managed to read the email today. My first thought was, “Are you crazy? Isn’t it too early to be planning a Xmas party now?” That was until I looked at the calendar and realised, OMG!!! It’s December already!

How time flies. It felt like just yesterday I joined this new company but at the same time it also felt like I’ve been here forever. The workload is really overwhelming. But it’s fun nevertheless.

I hate the year end. Because then it’s Xmas and I have to go shopping. I hate shopping. I’m pretty sure women are the ones who created Xmas. It’s an excuse to go shopping and also to test how good their significant other is at getting them gifts. Think about it. It’s true.

Also, there is this irritating thing call New Year’s Resolution. I don’t understand why people made that up. Basically, you just promise yourself that you will do this or that and then 3 months down the road you forget all about it only to renew that vow again the following year. It’s an unending resolution. For example, I made a resolution to get fat last year. Yup you heard right. I’m one of those who is lucky enough to eat like a pig and yet can still maintain the same size as I did 10 years ago. I even signed up for gym sessions. 11 months later, I’m still pretty much the same size.

Talking about fat, heard this over the radio today. Would you gain 20KG which you can never lose in return for 20 million dollars. My reply to that question is, give me the money and I’ll give you the fat. No problem there.
