Time to Exercise Again!

July 16th, 2006 | No Comments | Posted in @Personal

In my previous entry some time early this year, I blogged about my experience in gym. Well, I have to confess, that I’ve not step into the gym for the past 2 months. My goal of separating my all-in-one pack into six different packs effectively when down the drain.

Being my defensive self, I wanted to justify my reasons. Too much late working hours, busy schedule, etc. But deep down I know I’m just plain lazy.

Recently, the papers have been advertising new supplements that help remove those unsightly bulges and flabs. Bear in mind that I don’t have any flabs whatsoever on me. It’s just that most fat seem to like to congregate around my tummy area.

Back to the adverts. I always envy those people who have a fit body and it seem to come to them so effortlessly while I have to slave myself to gain it. I also got challenged by my 60+ year old uncle from the States when he told me that he too has enrolled in a gym and is now fitter and healthier than me. That caused a dent on my ego.

Last week, while having lunch with my colleagues, my project director asked me if I’m still attending gym.

Yes I do“, I lied.

Then why isn’t there any difference? You still look the same.

Ouch! Another dent on my ego.

So I made a new resolution to frequent the gym again. However, I know a guy like me has no discipline whatsoever when it comes to hard labour like this so I decided to get a personal trainer. Unfortunately, after looking at my finances, I can only afford the cheapest trainer, my own discipline self.

I have you know that going to gym is not as easy as just stepping in and start working out. For a guy like me, the lazy kind, it’s like asking me to climb Mount Kinabalu. Okay, I’ve climbed Mount Kinabalu before but I had motivation then. Now, I’m doing this all alone. You tend to have more motivation when there’s someone to go with you. But unfortunately I don’t go with just anybody. Preferably some I know. Why? Shy la…

So I’m back to square one. How la like that? It did not help when my dear uncle from the US of A gloated to me that now he can see signs of a six pack, biceps and triceps from his workout. I told him that I too am going to the gym. His reply was simple,

See to believe. Send pictures!

The nerve of that guy!

So I’m making a new resolution to go back to gym frequently again. I will start attending gym every Tuesdays and Thursdays morning before I go to work. I will get my six pack before the year comes to an end.

By hook or by crook.

That is after I get my workout shoes. The soles of my current one has came off. No, it’s not an excuse. It’s a fact. So shut up.

By the way, I’m attending Fitness First at Summit, USJ. Say hi if you see me.

World Peace

How do we achieve world peace?

A very good question. Someone asked this in the LYN forum and someone else answered,

“To Threadstarter: How’s the depression pills coming along?”

Who can blame him? This question is almost moronic. Just like those ladies who parade around in swimsuits in front of an audience of thousands hoping to be crowned with some useless title answering the question “If you have one wish, what would you wish for?” “World Peace!

world peace

Isn’t she irritating?

The human race is so stupid diverse that to live in absolute harmony is near impossible. I say near impossible because I believe there is a way.

What we need is someone wise to rise up politically and make others see the beauty of his way. Then when it’s too late, wrench power from all world leaders and unite the world under one rule. If there is any opposition, eliminate them.

It may seem cruel at first but it is because of all this whiners and idealist that causes all the disharmony in the first place. Wipe them all out. After all, history is written by the victors. Then implement one law that everyone must obey. There will be only one government, one belief and one culture. No confusion.

That is why I firmly believe Palpatine is misunderstood. It’s all the fault of the so-called peace-loving talking-green-rat followers that causes the problem when they oppose him.

Imagine if he has taken over the world! We would have speeders, A-wings, X-wings, Star Destroyers and Death Stars! *drools… * Then at last, we will have WORLD PEACE!

Yes, I’m in need of therapy.

Italy Wins!

I’m not a football fan. The only thing I like about Italy is the food. But for some unknown reason, I’m damn excited that Italy won! Woo hoo!!!

To the French, there’s always another World Cup. See you in South Africa. Zidane, happy retiring. :P

To the Malaysians, won’t be seeing you guys anywhere near World Cup but continue to enjoy it from the idiot box :P:P

Broadway Ah Beng

Broadway Beng

Before you go What The…!? allow me to explain…

No I was not bored silly nor was I force to watch this at gun point. Yes, I made a conscious effort to buy the tickets and watched it. Despite the weird looking poster, it’s was actually quite a decent musical.

Sebastian is the lead actor and practically a one man show. Honestly speaking, I did not enjoy this as much as I thought I would. It was funny and entertaining but because it’s about an Ah Beng, more than half the dialogue was in hokkien. If you know hokkien, then this would be enjoyable to you. Else, you will only enjoy it if you get the punch lines.

I won’t say this is an excellent play but it’s entertaining to a certain extend if you don’t speak ah beng.

George Bush

“Mine is this long…”

I’m sorry I just couldn’t resist. When my colleagues and I saw this on the papers during lunch, so many funny thoughts came to us. The above is most appropriate. Maybe that is what he’s talking about. LOL.
