New Google Logo

So Google has a new look coming. Some says the new look is more professional but for me I still like the old logo. The current logo has a 3D feel to it while the new looks a bit flat. I guess it’s up to each individual’s preference.

I am a design student (fourth year, B.Des), etc. In our classes, we often joke about the three things that make for classic horrible design: drop shadows, gradients, and bold+italic+underline. Well, Google has changed its gradient, and it still has a drop shadow.
‘Nuff said.
But I do agree with you; the last one had more life to it; it was stronger and stood up better when justaposed with those illustrations. It became a prop for all the little cartoons. I’m not sure how this one will hold up to that kind of stuff

The new logo aint bad, but still prefer the old one.
